Demonstrate Leadership

How have you demonstrated leadership capability both in and out of school?

I have demonstrated leadership in and out of school in many ways. What is leadership? How can you manage leaderdship? To me leadership in your own way is standing up for yourself and being a leader to and towards your family and friends. Many people dont know how to handle leadership because they are not leaders and they dont like to lead in certain situations. I am a leader in my own way. I love to help people and lead my community to positive things and things that benefit me. To manage leadership i think that individuals can stand up for themselves such as doing what they do best like going to different schools and helping out little kids with thier work or some things that they dont quite understand.

State of the Art Computer

This is a computer that I really want to buy. There are a number of things I would do to get this computer. I would first off save up some money to show that I can save without spending.I could also start sllng candy and stuff to earn money, also get a weekly or monthly alowance. I can get a job to keep me going. The laptop that uI want is $900. Its touch screen, has a webcam and does everything that i absolutekly love. It gives me access to certain things such as facebook, blogspot, twitter, and certain things of that nature. I can also have a side job so that I can make a little extra money.
I finally get the computer that i want. Once again it does everything. I make sure i get all my work done so that i can be a successful student so that i can go to college and get good grades and major in buisness mangement. I feel that this will and can benefit not just me but my family and friends to. Doing papers and essays will also come in handy so that i can turn them in on time.

Raw foods and cooked foods

There are many ways that i can describe raw food and cooked foods. Raw foods are way different from cooked foods.If you eat raw foods there is a possability that you can get sick or have pains in your stomach. A lot of people love to eat raw foods such as hot dogs, fish, sushi, and things like that. Cooked foods make a difference, everybody loves cooked foods like all types of chicken, rice, mac and cheese, and etc. These are foods that i absolutely love. But my all time favorite is Mexican food Chinese food and Soul Food. I can eat these 3 types of food all day everyday for the rest of my life especially soul food. If there wasnt for raw food there wouldnt be cooked food. This is my comparison for the day.

Desert

The most delicious desert that was ever made is cheescake. I absolutely love chesecake. If I wanted to I can eat this particular desert everyday. This is the desert I eat when Im happy, sad or just plain bored.

War on Drugs

Many people around the world use drugs. Drugs are beginning to be a bad influence on many teens and adults. As you may know many people drink and drive, this becomes dangerous because many people die from this and also become mentally ill. A lot of alcohol in your system is not a good thing because you can become brain dead. It is notgood to drink at a party, there are many reasons hy you shouldn't. One reason is because there are strange people out there and they like to pull praks when there drunk. They will usually put a type of drug in a persons drink, and the person wasnt looking this could affect there life severely. Too many teens do drugs now, i think that parens should irst off talk to thier children about drugs and explain to them waht this does to them and how this can effect them. Also ask them questions such as wondering if they are doing drugs and have they ever tried it.

Foods people eat

Why do people eat what they eat? Many people eat what they eat because their either allergic to certain things or they just dont like it. As you may know certain people are vegetarians which means they dont like meat or chicken basically they just dont eat meat at all. Some people just want to watch hat they eat and some people want to lose weight so they just eat salads or they want to watch what they eat. Me in particular only like to eat salads on certain occasions and i also like to watch what i eat. If my mom cooks food like friend chicken and stuff of that nature i would only eat it if im really hungry.

MAny people ask me these questions. What classes do you take? Are they easy? I get these questions from family members a lot. Being a student i the year 2010 also means a lot. I want to major in buisness Management, i plan on taking plenty of easy and hard classes. I think that hard classes would benefit me because it would show me how the buisness field is when i begin to work. I would alreafy how it is to take care of your own responibility by yourself. I dont know what i want to start my business with yet but whatever it is i know that i will be succssful with it and bring a lot of money to my family. In conclusion, I want to be successful in a number of ways. I will do whatever it takes to. I want to make my parents proud and let themknow that I am dedicated and that i am somebody.

I really dont know what to say. I like the decade i live in now because back them it was very dangerous and people that lived back in the 1870s had it rough and they were bound to die

Life without Cell Phones

Life without cell phones was harder. If you wanted to communicate you would either write a letter or use the house phone. Cell phones are better than home phones because now cell phones are small, mobile, helpful, and even entertaining. I think that i would be lost if i didnt have a cell phone i dont know how i would function if i didnt have a cell phone because thats all i do is talk on my cell phone and text and things of that nature. All of my friends have cell phones and we always communicate and stay in touch with each other.

Especially interesting

Who is especially intersting? Well thats easy, My mother is especially interesting to me. Not because she buys me stuff and basically gets me whatever i want but because shes my mother and shes always there for me throught good and bad times. She knows how to cheer me up when i am down, and knows how to stay positive through all the negative. I feel that my mom will always have my heart through thick and thin and through ups and downs. All mothers love their children and i know my mom loves me and she always will, and i love her. Me and mymom are like bestfriends when we are together hanging out, she always knows how to make me smile when i am down and she automatically knows when i am mot in the mood because she can read me off the top of her head. I can always count on my mom for anything and everyting and i will never doubt her when it comes to the bad because I know that she will always have my back through the good and the bad and she will never let me down because I know she believes in me and she will always have my heart.

Getting along with siblings

Me and my siblings have our days. We get along most of the time but argue all the time. We see eyeto eye when it comes to certain things and may argue about other things. This causes a lot of problems in certain famililes. SOme silings give up and may not never want to talk too each oher agan, but I think that this can be fixed. The parents can talk to them and help them out with all their problems and have them talk them out because nobody lke for there children to disown each other.

Weather

All wather doesnt really ffect my mood. The only weather that affects my mood is the heat. I really dislike the heat. It is hard to get comfortable when it is hot and i get very very irritated. I dont love the cold but i prefer it to be very cold then it to be very very hot. When it is cold it is easy to get warm. When im in Vegas im always hot and it is very humid. The heat changes peoples moods, makes them bipolar and very angry. As many people may know the heat is not a very good thing, it gives people heat strokes and that is not a good thing. I dont like to do anything when it is very hot because it isnt really healthy to me and i just dont like it.

Especially Interesting

Two people of different interests are all around the world. Blacks, Whites, Asians, Latinos etc are allies and also may not like each other, but that can change. For instance Blacks and Asians can easily get along by meeting up and become friends and be bestfriends. I also think that Two different people of different backgrounds could become allies because they can just talk about things that they are neutral with. Everyone does not have to have something common to start a descent conversation, When meeting new people, you do not look for specific interests and traits. Everyone is different. Maybe if the two people become friends, they will end up having things in common further down their relationship. Personally, I meet new people and as time goes by I learn about them and build a relationship with them. We might not always agree or have the same interests and perspectives, but that does not keep me from having conversations with them and becoming allies, or friends. Meeting new people is always a good thing.

Math

Math is so important because it is used in a number of things. It is important for work, and things like changing the chanel, you have to use numbers and know what you are doing. It is required all around the wold, not just in the US. If you want to major in anything in college it is mandatory that you take atleast 2-4 years of math. Every fact of life on earth uses Mathematics in one manner or another.Besides just that, math is needed in nearly every job from a high school summer job such as a cashier to an architect, math skills are always needed. Math is prominent in all aspects of life. Math is the most common subject in life besides English . Math is an everyday tool . It is helped for life because if not the "Real World" would be a big confusion . example ~ when you go to the store and the cashier gives you the wrong amount of change AND if you don't know math you would be stupid enough to go out of the store with the amount the cashier gave you . You wouldn't want to be this person and not have a correct amount of money to spend on your bills or something Math is very important in life because it is very helpful and when you are cooking you have to know how much ingredients your have to put in your food.

Obesity

To me, obesity is not a good thing. there are many children and adults that are dealing with obesity today and all around the world. Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an dverse effect on health. Parents have taken advantage on this letting there children eat as much as they want too and whatever they want too. From my perspective i dont think that this is a good look on children because they grow up to be over weight and keep doing what they want. Obesity can occur mainly from poor nutrition and lack of working out. Problems that occur personal and societal due to obesity is that people dont care about there health. For example most people that are obese sit on the couch at home and eat all day, most people eat out of boredom and think its ok. These problems can stop if we take away fattning foods and continue to work out more care enough about our health.

Vegetables i dont like

I truly dislike peas. You couldnt pay me 1 million dollars to eat them. My advice that i would give a parent whos kid doesnt like vegetables is to talk them into eating the vegetable. The child may genuinely dislike the taste, texture or odour of certain vegetables, especially if they have been overcooked. Some adults do not set a good example to children by eating a
wide variety of vegetables themselves. Some adults assume that their child won't like certain vegetables. The child can pick up on this assumption and refuse to try new vegetables. You should also offer vegetables in a positive, casual manner and assume the child will enjoy them. They may not of course, but think positively.

Passing a College admission test

College exams are never fun, they are quite stressful, and a lot of work to study for. Whether you have a low grade in the class and need to bring it up by your college exam, or you have a high grade and don’t want it to lower because of it, there are things you can do. A college exam doesn’t need to be as scary as you make it out to be. We all know the most important thing is to study, but there are a few other things you could keep in mind to raise that grade also. Check out some of the things you can do to get the grade you want on your college exam.

Take good notes – Taking good notes in college is very important. Since college is so fast paced to learn about a whole subject, the professor is going to try to tell you everything that’s important in class. Taking good notes will make it so much easier to study when the exam is around the corner.Get a study buddy – Having a friend from the classes makes study time a lot more fun and worthy of your time. Study with someone can help you out more than you can think. If you’re studying they may mention something you never heard of and might be able to explain what it is. Or maybe they heard the teacher say “you need to study this, it will be on the exam.” They can help you out a ton, think of all the information you know and just and some more help with a study buddy!

Ending a relationship

Love is a complicated thing, and it can lead to great joy. Ideally, it is about kindness, passion and sharing. It is also about trust and respect.

But, humans make mistakes, and some people are more compatible than others. Love between two people can change. Sometimes it grows, while other times it diminishes.

And, unlike the lyrics of many pop songs, love cannot always conquer all. You may find that your love for someone else is not being returned. Or, you may be in a loving relationship that is not practical due to differences in core values or expectations.

Making new friends

A fairly common social issue people have is that they're not sure how to make friends and put together a social life for themselves. There are quite a few ways someone can find themselves in this situation.

They've moved to a new city and don't know very many people yet.
They've been in a long term relationship and have let their social life wither.
Their old friends have slowly been dropping out of the picture (moving away, busy with work or a new family, etc.) and haven't been replaced by new ones.
They feel like they've grown apart from their current friends and want to make entirely new ones.
In the past they were happy being alone a lot of the time, but now they want to be around people more often.
They never really knew how to make friends and have always wished their social lives were better.

Favorite game

My favorite game is Grand theft auto 4. this game is realy fun to me. i play it every day on my PS3.

Causes and effects of prejudice

In addition, extremely prejudiced people seem to share a cluster of personality traits – an authoritarian personality. Authoritarian people think of the world in rigid "either-or" categories. They are rigidly conventional and are hostile toward people who violate conventional values. They are preoccupied with power and toughness. They are submissive to authority and, in turn, are likely to bully those with less power than themselves. Destructive and cynical, these individuals fear, suspect and reject all outgroup members – even from fictitious groups. If you aren’t one of "us," you must be one of "them" – the enemy.We need to remember that the studies were done with imaginary people and situations. There was also a subtle pressure in experiments for subjects to be unbiased. However, personal biases are more evident in real life. The study was repeated in 1974 with a little twist. New college students were asked about whom they would prefer as roommates in a dorm. Half were told that this was an imaginary situation, while the rest were told that these choices would be used to determine their real roommates. Racial factors were more important in the choice of actual roommates than the choice of imagined roommates. However, similarity of attitudes and beliefs was still important for both groups. It is easier to give "lip service" to racial equality than to actually practice it.

Causes and effects of impulse buying

Impulse buying happens when you get caught up in the hype of a situation and you buy something without thinking much about it. Impulse items may be new products, samples or well-established products at unexpected low prices.

Situations that play on shoppers impulsiveness include: items on sale tables that advertise 'huge bargains' or '10% off all items' or the enticement of announcements that something is half price for the next 5 minutes. Impulse buying makes you spend money on items you may not really need or want. To avoid impulse buying you need to ask yourself if you really need the item or just want it.

Pollution

April 29, 2009 -- Areas in California remain some of the most polluted in the U.S., with air quality that is likely damaging the health of millions of people, according to a report by the American Lung Association. Almost 186.1 million Americans live in places where the air quality is probably bad enough to damage their health, at least part of the year, the report concludes. The Pittsburgh-New Castle area in Pennsylvania ranked the worst in the nation for short-term particle pollution and second for the most year-round particle pollution. Particulates come from a variety of sources, including diesel and gasoline engines, power plants, construction and demolition projects, soil, and dust.

Life without computers

I cannot imagine any day passing by without myself wandering through the web, checking new e-mails, interacting in social networking sites, posting my blog or just simply surfing over. Computer is an effective tool for reminding me about pending tasks, for jotting down appointments, for making letters, for tracking down my expenses, monitoring my weight, my grocery check lists and so on and so forth. As the world changes, digital technology has created more and more impact to our everyday lives. Computers and internet has truly become an indispensable commodity for me. Needless to say that it has occupied more than half percentage of my half-active, half sedentary life, computer and internet being the next to my three basic needs. Silly it is, I have sceptically thought that it should be among the higher lines in my hierarchy of needs.

A good Driver

Anyone can learn to be a good driver. All it takes is knowledge, and experience behind the wheel. Take a drivers education course to help you gain experience behind the wheel. It is a small devotion of your time, that will pay off big over the years. Driving with another experienced driver in the wheel is also a good idea. Listening to the good advice of another good driver can be very helpful. Begin good driving by remembering to drive slowly and carefully at all times. Slow is best when driving and this helps you to avoid accidents and harming yourself or others behind the wheel which can be tragic.

Favorite Sport and why

My favorite sport is Basketball. This Sport means everything to me.I grew up playing this sport and ever since it just made me happy. I play this sport all the time, such as when im in the mood for it and when i and when i just feel the need to. I will never ever ever give up on this sport because I know it will never give up on me. Always remember think dream play basketball.

Importance of Pride in work

The confidence that comes from knowing the sales process, strategies and tactics to effectively execute a sales cycle. self-confidence - that feeling that you will simply be comfortable in your own skin, with another individual, who you will successfully sell. It's not enough to just be good anymore. You must be better than you were before - you must become great. You must have a step by step plan to achieve your goals. It's a new world and we have a new economy so your plan of action much change - at least slightly.
For CEO's and Presidents - Fish stink from the head down so you need new strategies and a new mentality to succeed in this new economy.
Sales Managers must take the lead in the quest to improve their salespeople.
Salespeople must embrace the changes to the plan in order to see their results change.

What is Diversity ?

Diversity refers to human qualities that are different from our own and those of groups to which we belong; but that are manifested in other individuals and groups. Dimensions of diversity include but are not limited to: age, ethnicity, gender, physical abilities/qualities, race, sexual orientation, educational background, geographic location, income, marital status, military experience, parental status, religious beliefs, work experience, and job classification." Diversity as a concept focuses on a broader set of qualities than race and gender. In the context of the workplace, valuing diversity means creating a workplace that respects and includes differences, recognizing the unique contributions that individuals with many types of differences can make, and creating a work environment that maximizes the potential of all employees. Diversity is broader than affirmative action and is voluntary (i.e., it is not "strictly necessary" to incorporate diversity concepts in order to meet federal requirements) However, the Regents and Chancellor Berdahl are committed to having a diverse University. Emphasizing diversity moves the University beyond considerations of only race and gender in its efforts to achieve an inclusive work environment.

What Cooperation means to me ?

The tri-county area needs better regional cooperation and leadership so it can guide development in a balanced, sustainable manner, said participants in a regional planning workshop Monday.The meeting at Summerville High School was part of the Berkeley Charleston Dorchester Council of Governments’ preparations to develop a variety of future growth scenarios, which will then be molded into a regional plan that will prioritize how the COG makes funding recommendations.

There are many ways and methods tohelpa teacher teach. There are teachers that i know that can teach but dont teach. Is it because they dont know how or they just dont want to? I dont know but whatever it is it can be fixed. That can be fixed from my point of view but maybe they dont want to dix it.

I appreciate my parents 100%, they mean the world to me. Without them I dont think I would be the young lady that i am today. We may notsee eye to eye at times but that still doesnt express the way I feel about them. My mom and I are more than bestfriends, were like sister. We hold a strong relationship its like were twins, i know when shes mad or just sad and angry. When I am mad at her i sometimes feel badbecause life is too short to be enimies with somebody that you truly love especially yoour mother, the lady who carried you for 9 months straightand ddnt give me up because of the simple fact that she cared. Me and my dad have a very good relationship. We do almost everything together, i remember when i thought he wasnt there for me but turns out he was in jail for 4 years. I ddnt really understand at the time because i was young. But now tha he hasnt beeen there in a long time we spend way more time together and he tells me everything. Long story short i love my parents and they love me!

Wake up with my daughter, get her breakfast, get my coffee. Clean, clean, more clean, get my daughter a snack, take my daughter to the park or to the store, go home cook her lunch, do whatever needs to be done, cook dinner, clean up, give my daughter a bath, read her a story, once she's asleep I'll take a shower, and then go online, watch a movie, or just go to sleep.

wow this is alot of stress relieving well i'm still in high school so 1-3 i take a career tech class then 4th i stand out in the hall with alot of my friends on this wall were i watch this beautiful walk pass me(which she looks at me too also i we glance at each other walking to 2nd period and lunch and at the end of the day).lol. i have alot of friends which that's about it or the important part.

Fame and Fortune

Fame and Fortune changes a lot of peoples lives. Some people start to act different and some just want the money.Everyone wants to have the perfect life, to be extraordinary. Instead of going to the actual source of a perfect or extraordinary life, we have allowed ourselves to be seduced by the images of fame and fortune. We have become lab rats pressing the lever for a tidbit to eat and hoping, believing that a bowlful is just behind the next lever press. there is nothing wrong with wanting fame and fortune. In reality we desire what that represents to us. Ways to change our lives. While you may not gain fortune or fame from this list, you can definitely change your life into perfection and lead a life that is extraordinary.

Environmental Problem

There are many environmental problems. Glass recycling is both simple and beneficial. Glass recycling saves energy, conserves natural resources, and is good for the environment. Recycled glass can be used to create new glass containers and a host of other glass products. The fireworks display you watch on national holidays could leave you with more than a patriotic feeling. Fireworks litter the ground, pollute water supplies, and rain down chemicals and heavy metals that contribute to a wide range of serious health problems. Maybe it's time for a change. Reduce, reuse and recycle is the mantra of environmentalists everywhere, but reusing plastic bottles may do more harm than good by releasing toxic chemicals that can cause a host of serious health problems. Learn the dangers of reusing plastic bottles as well as some safe alternatives.
